LEAVING CERTIFICATE APPLIED
The Leaving Certificate Applied is a two-year Leaving Certificate available to students who wish to follow a practical or vocationally orientated programme.  The programme is divided into three main areas

   1. Vocational Preparation
   2. Vocational Education – Engineering
   3. Graphics & Construction
   4. General Education

The L.C.A. is accepted for most PLC courses and will in many cases allow the student to progress to third level Institutes of Technology.  The LCA provides access also to most apprenticeships.

Under the LCVP programme our students are given the opportunity to study leaving certificate subjects and three link modules:

    * Enterprise Education
    * Preparation for Work
    * Work Experience

Students who take LCVP benefit in many ways in that they learn about the world of work and how to apply for, and undertake employment through career investigations.  They will gain experience in using computers to prepare C.V’s and formatting reports.  They will be educated in operating as a member of a team and they will learn about enterprise and how to set up their own business in the future.
