Sport

Football
On the sporting front St. Patrick's College has a well earned proud tradition. This year our U-14 Ladies Soccer Team became All Ireland Champions and our U-18s won the Connaught Championship.

In the recent past our pupils have had a strong presence on Minor  U-21 and Senior County Teams. It was a very proud moment for us when Marcus Hannick, a past pupil, won his U21 All Ireland medal in  2006.

The proud  footballing tradition of the college is further reflected in the number of players who make a major contribution to the success of the Mayo
Vocational Schools team every year.

Ladies Football
Since ladies football was introduced to the College we have won the Mayo Vocational U16 A Championship.

Basketball
On the basketball court we have had victories in the Tom Tighe Cup and our teams have progressed through wins in the Mayo SBA Cup at both second year and senior level to the ultimate prize, a national title, won by second year girls.

Handball
There is a tradition of handball in the college and we acknowledge the wonderful work of the Killala Handball Club.

A great measure of our success can be attributed to the visiting coaches who train our teams coupled with the dedication of the many teachers involved.
